Okra Giant

What if Shepard Fairey re-branded the Jolly Green Giant in the style of his OBEY Giant campaign? This was my thought process for this week’s Colour Collective challenge with the color prompt of Leaf Green. It’s a bit more on the tongue in cheek side than my usual illustrations, but since the post date for this was April Fools Day I thought it might be appropriate. Worm Detected

Pale Geranium Lake was the color prompt for this week’s Colour Collective challenge. I started with the phrase “worm detected” and the idea for the illustration followed from there. I didn’t intend this as some kind of statement about apple computers, but I see how some people might get that idea. [Note: This post is backdated to the twitter post date. Added to blog 03-01-18.]

Moss

My entry for this week’s Colour Collective challenge with the color prompt of Moss. This is a drawing of Richard Ayoade who played the character Moss on the TV show the IT Crowd. Considering the Colour Collective challenge is based in Brittan I thought for sure that there would be several people who’d also illustrate the character for this challenge, but oddly I was the only one. The Tortoise & The Hare At The Yoga Studio

My entry for this week’s Colour Collective challenge with the color prompt of Viridian. The original title for this one was “Aesop’s Yoga Studio.” (I’m still partial to that title actually.) If you’re curious, yes, the rabbit pose and tortoise pose do really exist. [Note: This post is backdated to the twitter post date. Added to blog 03-01-18.]
