I took part in the Inktober challenge this October, creating 31 inked illustrations in 31 days and posting them online. My Inktober 2015 theme: Paying tribute to Bill Finger Award winning comic creators & their characters. The award, which honors the memory of Batman co-creator Bill Finger, recognizes comic book writers who have not received their rightful reward and/or recognition. For the project I created 23 character illustrations and a comic illustrating part of a letter written by Bill Finger.
Here’s the 23 character illustrations I worked on during the weekdays:
My entry for this week’s Colour Collective challenge with the color prompt of Rose Tyrien. I was inspired to create this after the pizza rat meme made the rounds online. I thought the rat might eventually get involved in giving some awards to various pizza establishments. [Note: This post is backdated to the twitter post date. Added to blog 03-01-18.]
This week’s illustration for the Colour Collective challenge with the color prompt of Duck Egg Green. Never seen the Duck Dynasty show, but the title seemed fitting for this family portrait. [Note: This post is backdated to the twitter post date. Added to blog 03-01-18.]
Here is an illustration for this week’s Colour Collective challenge with the color prompt of Phthalo Blue. The color reminded me of the sea for some reason. [Note: This post is backdated to the twitter post date. Added to blog 03-01-18.]
I really liked the art challenge started by Penny Neville-Lee called Colour Collective that started up in 2015. This is my first entry for the challenge with the color of Tea Rose. [Note: This post is backdated to the twitter post date. Added to blog 03-01-18.]
After being involved with Inktober 2014, I was intrigued by a new art challenge by Penny Neville-Lee called Illo Advent that appeared on twitter in December. I loved the little elves that she created, so I decided to do a little watercolor scene with them myself. [Note: This post is backdated to the twitter post date. Added to blog 03-01-18.]]
I took part in the Inktober challenge in October 2014, creating 31 inked illustrations in 31 days and posting them to twitter. Here’s a collection of what I produced:
I contributed this illustration to a robot themed art exhibit currently up at the Uprise/Ragtag Community Gallery. The show runs from August to September 2012.
I created an ace of spades card for the Columbia Art League’s House of Cards art show that ran October 19th – November 20th. Artists picked out a card from a card deck and created their interpretation of the card for the art show. The works in the show have been printed into actual playing cards that are now for sale at the Art League.
